We are very pleased to have confirmed another exciting partnership. Spinks has partnered with award winning angel network, Angel Academe.
Angel Academe was founded in 2014, with a mission to make angel investing easy, fun and rewarding for women - as well as men, who want to be part of a diverse network - and they invest in fast growing technology businesses with at least one woman on the founding team.
Angel Academe believes the challenge ambitious female tech founders face in raising investment for growth is directly linked to the lack of investor diversity. Angel Academe investors are mainly, but not only, women. Some of them are entrepreneurs, others are senior professionals, have portfolio careers or are on career breaks. They pool funds and resources to evaluate investment opportunities, make investments and support the entrepreneurs they back.
Robin Beattie, Managing Director of Spinks said,
We firmly believe that Angel Academe’s values to increase diversity and support entrepreneurs align with our own values. We’re looking forward to working collaboratively with Angel Academe, supporting them with due diligence and all issues surrounding tech talent.
We will be promoting Angel Academe within our networks to help entrepreneurs take the next step and go on to make waves within the tech industry, and to promote angel investing to more senior women.
Angel Academe founder Sarah Turner says of the partnership:
Spinks bring invaluable expertise and networks to our vibrant community of mainly female angel investors and tech entrepreneurs. We’re really excited to be working with them to develop our ability to hire and retain top tech talent.
