Support Engineer - Contract - London

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a large, highly regarded publishing company for a Support engineer to ensure the progression and swift resolution of tickets logged with the Service Desk and managing client expectations throughout.

Project Description
* Answering support requests via the IT service desk and face to face
* To take ownership of support requests, ensuring they are logged and updated in appropriate systems
* To escalate more complex problems to the relevant group, collaborating effectively and keeping end-users updated.
* Administration of identity platforms including Active Directory to set up user accounts and manage access permissions
* Configure and build end-user devices in a timely fashion, for deployment at scale
* Carry out day to day maintenance, administration and support on end-user devices including laptops, desktops and mobiles/tablets
* Contribute to the growing Tech team knowledge base, updating both internal and customer-facing documentation
* Maintain asset register to ensure all equipment is recorded and the database is kept up to date
* Maintain best practices and policies to ensure effective use of all infrastructure, data, communication and storage systems together with maintaining required security standards
* Manage the recycling of all old Hogarth IT equipment
* Adobe Creative Cloud support
* Microsoft Office support
* Providing meeting room support

Essential Experience & Skills Required:

* Good knowledge of Mac OS support
* Remote / Deskside Support to end-users
* JAMF Pro knowledge
* Understanding of Networking & Servers
* Maintaining inventory database
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills
* General "can-do" service attitude
* Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking abilities within tight deadlines
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience in supporting Windows operating systems
* Good knowledge of Active Directory
* Experience with Apple Remote Desktop / Microsoft Remote Desktop
