Site Reliability Engineer - Permanent - Haywards Heath - up to £65k

Bought By Many is a high-growth and multi-award-winning fintech start-up on a mission to create better insurance for everyone. They are driving unprecedented change in insurance and have doubled their business annually for the last 3 years, and there is more ambitious growth still to come!

Currently their engineering team is at 26 over their 3 offices, they are going continue to expand their core tech function here in their Birmingham office.

We're looking for a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to become a part of a well-established and ever growing tech team at a very exciting stage in its business expansion.

You will be working with a highly skilled team with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds, so being a team player is a must for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and constantly improve our production environments including: deployment, performance, resilience and information security

  • You will be a part of building an incident management pipeline where developers and other internal teams are able to manage past incidents and

ensure they don't re-occur.

  • You'll keep an eye on how internal systems relate to each other, along with proactively continuing to make improvements on systems and functions.

Required Skills:

  • Strong commercial experience of looking after production systems with large user bases.

  • Experience working as part of the SDLC in an SRE capacity and with CI/CD tools and processes

  • AWS, AWS Lambda, Heroku and Database experience

  • Development experience building database driven web application.

  • Experience with one or more scripting languages, ideally Python.

  • Experience conducting Performance and Security reviews would be beneficial
