My client is a market leading software company in the financial services industry. Leaders in the industry for delivering their Capital Gains Tax Calculation platform to top tier banks and other financial institutions across the UK, US and Europe, they are renowned for the trusted partnerships they have with their clients.

The idea behind the platform was all about mitigating the complex challenges surrounding investment tax management, reporting and analysis. The platform ensures that all company tax data is up to date and accurate, meaning their clients are free to focus on other aspects of their business without the worry.

Established over 20 years ago they are very much experts in their field.

They are now looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join their data function.

Overview of the role:


You will work closely with the Junior Data Analyst as a mentor, working together to maintain and enhance processes within the company's financial data function.

You will work closely with senior members of the company with a key focus on generating revenue from data consultancy - answering any client queries and effectively providing solutions and helpful information.

You will ensure the constant delivery of accurate financial data for the purposes of your clients tax calculations. The role is very much focused on data gathering, data input and data validation in their internal system using strong Excel skills.

Leadership responsibilities - you will lead the more junior analysts within the team alongside the Data Manager.

Must have:


Minimum 7 years experience as a Data Analyst with a focus on data gathering, data input, data validation and analysis.

A sound level of business acumen - contributing ideas to make processes more efficient

Experienced and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Degree level (or higher) in either business or management, economics, mathematics, statistics or finance.

Ideally at least 1-2 years' experience leading a small team

Nice to have:


Sound understanding of Corporate actions & financial securities
