An experienced Product Manager is urgently required to join a rapidly expanding technology leader in Central Manchester as they continue to grow and deliver industry leading, innovative and cutting-edge technology solutions.

Their products are state-of-the-art and with an impressive list of clients and revenue that is doubling annually, the company is now looking to add a Project Manager to their senior team.

The Product Manager will play a crucial role in implementing and supporting the processes that will drive growth and take responsibility of heading up internal and external development teams (hardware and software).

Working closely with the Operations Director to lead various elements of Project and Product Management, the Product Manager will support the business with both hardware and software projects with a focus on improving efficiency and quality implementing plans to deliver products and solutions from start to completion.

The Project Manager will work alongside the Technical Heads of Software and Hardware, to support the technical aspects, interpret and scope the project requirements and establish viability from the outset of a project request, through to delivery.

Overall responsibility for managing the scope and delivery of New Product Development and Product Enhancements on time and within budget:

*Responsibility for the project scope and product cost estimation/budget, controlling risk, minimizing uncertainty
*Creating project plans to deliver product developments on time and budget - assigning responsibilities and setting deadlines
*Devising and implementing systems, policies and procedures
*Project monitoring, control, and accountability of the development team
*Creating, managing and motivating project teams
*Management of conflict and solving the challenges that arise during development
*Project closure including all technical documentation from the team to support procurement, production and sales
*Achievement of KPI's and performance measures for the development team
*Leading the communication from product requests, to the technical team, developers and ultimately the production team
*Encouraging teamwork across all development resources
*Introduction of outsourced fulfilment partners for development, seeking ways to ensure a cost effective, scalable delivery at competitive prices, without compromising on quality.
*Implementing systems with contract developers - retention of all IP, maintenance of QA and software version control
*Line management of the in-house development team

*Circa 5 yrs+ industry experience of Product/Project Management within Software and/or hardware environments.
*Experience of successfully delivering projects to customer satisfaction
*Experience of focused, results driven success
*Experience of hands on management
*Highly developed negotiation skills to achieve cost-effective, accurate estimates versus actual project costs
*A clear focus on the delivery of 'team' KPIs/performance metrics around supporting continuous efficiency improvements
*Ability to build and manage an outsourced supplier developer network
*Able to lead commercial contract negotiations and structuring appropriate SLA's.
*Strong communication skills especially between sales, tech leads and developers, procurement/supply chain
*Energy, openness, and strong team spirit
*Project Management accreditations would be beneficial (e.g. Prince2, Agile etc)
*Ideally North West/Manchester based, able to commute to Cumbria/Lancashire
